Legal fees are determined with regard to the scope and nature of the work and the applicable Minimum Attorneyship Fee Tariff. The agreed scope, fee and payment terms are recorded in writing.

Determining the fee

Each matter is assessed on its own circumstances. The fee is determined by reference to the scope, duration and nature of the work undertaken.

Written agreement

The scope of the work, the fee and the payment terms are set out in a written engagement agreement.

Court fees and expenses

Court fees, service costs, expert fees and other litigation expenses are separate from the legal fee. The applicable expense arrangements are explained in the agreement.

Applicable tariff

An agreed fee cannot be contrary to the applicable tariff rules. Current tariffs are available through the Union of Turkish Bar Associations its website.
